Privacy Policy

This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what you can do about it.

The short version

  • If you sign up for something, you’ll be added to our email list, and we may send you our newsletter and other updates.
  • We never sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone for their own use.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time, with one click.

What we collect

  • When you sign up for our email list, a workshop, or a resource: your name, your email address, and anything else you choose to share on the form.
  • When you book a call: your name, your email address, and what you tell us on the booking form.
  • When you work with us: the information you share as we work together, which we protect as described in our Working Together terms.
  • When you visit our website: basic information that website services collect automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view. We use it to understand what is helpful and to keep the site working.

How we use it

  • To send you what you asked for, such as workshop links, replays, and downloads.
  • To send you emails from Know & Tell, including our newsletter, workshop news, resources, and occasional updates about our work.
  • To schedule and run calls, workshops, and projects.
  • To improve our website and our offerings.

We do not share your email address

We never sell, rent, or trade your email address or any other personal information. We do not give your information to other organizations for their marketing. We share it only with the services that help us run Know & Tell, and only so they can do their job for us.

Services that help us

We use a few trusted services, and they handle your information on our behalf. Each has its own privacy practices.

  • MailerLite sends our emails and holds our email list.
  • Cal.com handles call scheduling.
  • Zoom hosts our workshops and calls.
  • Google Drive stores and delivers our downloadable resources.
  • WordPress.com hosts our website.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Our newsletter and emails

When you join our email list, we may send you our newsletter, along with workshop announcements, new resources, and occasional updates about Know & Tell. We will not send you anything that is not from us, and we will not flood your inbox.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time. Every email we send, including the newsletter, has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click takes you off the list. You can also email us and we will remove you. If you would like your information deleted as well, just ask.

Cookies

Our website and some of the tools we use, such as sign-up forms, may use cookies or similar tools to work properly and to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor them.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We keep records of paid work for as long as we need them for our business, taxes, and legal obligations.

Keeping it safe

We use reputable services and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children

Our work is for adults who lead and support nonprofits. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date below.
